A stunt kite is a type of kite often called sport kite, which can vary in amount of lines and complexity. This special type of kite allows the person to do some acrobatic maneuvers due to the fact that it counts with two or four control lines and is more complex than usual kites.

Stunt kite: multi line kites

Stunt kites are multi line kites which have or often more control lines and must be flown with the use of both hands. Managing this type of kites can be very complicated and often takes an advanced skills level in kiteboarding or kitesurfing for being able to maneuver with it.

Stunt kite: competitions

There is a variety of competitions related to stunt kites held in a constant basis at several different spots in the world. There are different types of competitions which might vary between individual performances, a team of two or several kite surfers synchronized. These contests can be a lot of fun to professional kite surfers as well as allow them to measure their level of skills in comparison to other similar pilots.

Stunt kite: the delta shape

The delta or triangular shape with two lines is one of the most common forms of stunt kites. In order to control one of these triangular shaped sport kites, the person must pull on the left hand line in order to turn to his left and pull on the right hand one in order to turn to his right, being easier to handle than more complex stunt kites with four or more lines.
